TREATING BILATERAL RENAL ANGIOMYOLIPOMAS IN TUBEROUS SCLEROSIS WITH MULTI-SESSION EMBOLIZATION AND FOLLOW-UP
Abstract
We present a middle aged lady suffering from tuberous sclerosis (TS) and having symptomatic bilateral renal angiomyolipomas (AML) who was successfully treated with minimally invasive embolization. The right AML was treated first and then the left with an interval of 6 months between them. Short follow-up with CT scan in 6 months showed regression in size of lesions. Intermediate clinical follow-up for 2 years revealed the patient had remained asymptomatic after treatment.
